Agua Pura
2011
Follows renowned artist
Silvia Márquez Pease
around the world as she travels
photographing sources of water
and making art installations with
perishable materials denoting
impermanence, urgency for renovation
and ecology awareness.
One of her destinations is the Iguazu falls located at the north east tip of Argentina limiting with Brazil. There, she photographs the force of pure water. She photographs rivers, lakes, oceans, falls, and any source that she encounters. Márquez Pease’s intention is to create abstract photographic images of water revealing its beauty and importance as a source of life..
